Power of One
The Power of One Christian rock concert will be on Saturday, October 10th from 12:30 until 10:00 pm at Appleton North High School. The youth group from Christian Faith Moravian Church in DeForest will be joining us for the concert as well as a lock-in at church after the concert. If you are a youth who would like to attend this event or an adult who would be willing to help chaperone it (we need at least one male and one female adult chaperone), please reply to this email. Saturday, October 10th at the Lake Mills Moravian Church. Lunch provided. Registration - Coffee and Rolls 9:00 a.m. Hymn Writing Workshop - 9:30 to noon. Choral Reading - 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. Music will include works by: Johann Christian Bechler, Karl Heinrich Graun, Christian Gregor, Francis Florentine Hagen, Brian Henkelmann, Johannes Herbst, Christian David Jaeschke, Christian Ignatius Latrobe, Johann Friedrich Peter, Johann Sörensen, and Massah M. Pre-Synod Meeting
On Sunday, October 11th at 2:30 pm, there will be a pre-Synod area meeting at the Green Bay West Moravian Church. This meeting is a planning meeting in advance of the Northern Province Synod in Bethlehem, PA next summer that Pastor Jason and Jayne Ewald will be attending as our church’s delegates. Our Joint Board will be attending this meeting, but you are invited to attend as well. We will be discussing matters of importance to the Moravian Church, specifically focusing on finances and how our church’s health plan works. If you would like to attend, please RSVP by replying to this email so that we know how many to prepare for. A light supper will be served at 5 pm and it is anticipated that the meeting will not go past 7 pm.
Mt. Morris Woodcutter’s Day
The 5th annual Mt. Morris Woodcutter’s Day will be on Saturday, October 17th from 8:00 am - 3:30 pm. Lunch will be provided. If you would like to help Mt. Morris out by cutting wood for their winter supply, please RSVP by calling 920-787-2861 or emailing mtmorriscamp@centurytel.net. Please bring your own chain saw and gloves.

Start thinking now about how you can help out with the Chili Supper and what items you can donate to the Bazaar (candy, canned goods, baked goods, produce, gifts, etc).

Youth Sunday *NEW*
On Sunday, October 25th, Pastor Jason will be gone; he will be officiating the wedding for his niece. The Sunday Service that day will be completely led by our youth. Please come and support our young people as they lead us in worship.

Sunday School Teacher’s Retreat *NEW*
The Teacher Education Network of the Moravian Church, Western District invites you to its 12th Annual Retreat on November 13 - 15, 2009 at Mt. Morris Camp and Conference Center. The theme is “On the Money: Talking Dollars and $ense to Kids and Their Parents.” The Rev. Gary Marsh, Director of Stewardship for the Moravian Church Northern Province, will be our facilitator.
